Back in the day I remember hearing Kane and thinking he was the illest out. Him along with Rakim and KRS seemingly owned and revolutionized the rap game and helped usher in the Golden Era.


But then this track came out.

Given their track record together and careers, who do you think is better?

G. Rap had the better career overall, Kane had the better run prime vs. prime.
Skill wise, they are about equal. G. Rap told stories like he was legit writing crime cinemas. Kane was the smooth gangsta rapper style. Too hard to call in that department

agree, i respect the hell out of Kane's wit, rhyme schemes and flows but he self-produced too much. when KGR fell back a lil, then came back with his 4,5,6 team and made some insane music. Rawkus cost him a good 3-4 years, but he kept beasting on features

i know Long Live means alot to fans of that era, but only a handful of songs resonate to me. KGR has dozens of bangers and has elite skills to match
