Nas makes safe rap/music compared to Kool Keith. Nas could never create an album like Dr. Octagon which drum and bass heads worshipped at the peak of rave culture - 96-00.
OR to Keith's early influence in the U.K

fukk is you guys talking about?!

First of all…bringing up Nas dad is useless as you have his full story and Keith is speaking on a stranger.

Lastly, he didnt think he was too good for rap. He clearly wanted to remain true to himself as an MC and not to be influenced by anyone else. You turning it into being too good for rap is drama creation on your part. Especially from an MC who perfectly called out the future of hip hop way back in 87
The nikka was acting like a hoe bottom line. And bringing up other music he's into and saying he's "bigger" than hip hop is looking down on it and acting like he was too good for it. I'm a fan of Keith. But that whole segment was some hoe ass shyt.

Shut up. Untitled was less "safe" from a mainstream artist than anything Kool Keith has EVER done but u can't relate to that tho.

Nah. The “you act like” is labeling.
No it isn't. It's using discernment based on a person's actions in front of me. It's what he said in between his inspirations that gave me the idea. The fact that this nikka harping on a damn near nothing interaction from 30 years ago is another. The story didn't even have to be told cause it was a bunch of nothing. Neither one of these nikkas wanted to meet each other. The end.

Keith literally said he didn't wanna meet Nas. Had to be dragged in the room and pressured by Faith. Proceeded to meet Nas. Nas reached out for dap but didn't do it in the way Keith wanted. All while Keith CLEARLY observed Nas was blunted like a muthafukka. Yet STILL got mad enough to say he's to big for these rap nikkas. And diss Nas on his album all for what? I'm literally going by what this nikka is saying. I don't know what u talking about right now.

I don't care if you live in New York.

What if you were born in 2000 in Kansas and you moved to New York?

I don't know you, but you think you can tell me what I relate to? On any level.

I have no problem with his statements, he felt how he felt but he did come off as a Melle Mel type in that interview in comparison to Ced Gee, who just answered the damn question and kept it moving. I also agree with what Ced Gee said regarding how he rates rappers. Its one of the reasons, why I think Biggie is the greatest rapper of all time.

All for what? Keith was upset. No need to invalidate how he felt.

And he expressed it like an artist.

Keith has a rhyme that Biggs up Nas.

"Renting cars/You trying to copy Nas" Sweet Unique Pete

It was not a bunch of nothing. It's a bunch of "Oh yeah? fukk Nas for that!"

Okay, but I don't like how Nas was high and just nonchalant about meeting Keith.

Punk kneeled down and kissed G Rap's ring when he met him.

Rap is that serious. And of course Nas is about the craft. But Nas sounded arrogant.

Kool Keith grew up in a more serious period in NYC than Nas.

I'm born in 81, what year were you born in and were you born in NYC?

Come on, you know Kool Keith is very crucial to New York City itself!

Nas didn’t kiss G Rap’s ring that was Big Pun.
