Grandmaster Caz is dumb nice I'm not talking about back in the day either I mean right now this second he will destroy your fav rapper

Nas is his 'grandson' can't see them battling

"Where am I? On high with a pen
Blessed manifest rhyme god transcend
You call him God's Son, I call him God sent
First the God sent me, then the God Rakim
How can Nas not win when the God sent him
To resurrect true rhyme God kingdom
You should say amen when you see me
When you pray I'm him then you believe me"

props I never seen anyone mention "where are they now". perfect example why nas is the g.o.a.t.

all three versions are classic. and yea caz would body nggaz tommorow, him and melle.

The Battle Is On is an ill ass song, nice to see it posted, props.

funny because I'm givin props to threnody for postin "where are they now" because I never seen it posted and your doing the same to me on a response to him

that top shelf 8/8/88 album is classic and I listen to it religiously starting on august 8th every year.

on another note I have a friend who only really listens to wayne/ross/meek/jeezy etc and I played this song for him and he was like :wow: :wow: "they rippin it, oh sh!t that's crazy old nggaz was bodyin sh!t, they on some big pun sh!t" and that reaction genuinely made me happy.

and that let me kno under all that he's a true hiphop head

Yeah the Where Are They Now versions are all dope, all 4. I loved that Nas did that, I really felt that move to do something like that.

I feel what your saying, I think deep down talent does normally win out just manipulation has fukked with some people's heads.
