I heard that Japanese people were generally cool with us when we visit Japan. I worked for an Asian company and everyone was cool, but the Japanese seemed the nicest.

Visiting, it was pretty fun and everyone's pretty nice (though I think we might have been in a Yakuza bar on one occasion, and they said they were closed). But I think its different when your embedded there. My friend used to work for a Japanese company and he said they don't promote non-Japanese people to high positions.

Japan is hands down the best Asian country for black people. I found that Korea is 50/50. Koreans like to steal black culture and be racist towards black people at the same time. At least the Japanese will show more respect and appreciation for black culture. China is definitely the worst out of the two. Probably the worst Asian country for black people.

They are talking towards each other. Asians have wars too. They are just not broadcasting like the Black diaspora war. There's pretty much a hierarchy within Asia East Asians rank themselves over South Asians.. Koreans only look up to and respect Japan. Everyone is suspicious of China. Taiwan is respected, Singapore is respected South Asian countries are kind of clowned and treated like the step children and of course nobody respects India not even former territories like Pakistan and Bangladesh.

This one line line is so off that it essentially invalidates your entire post. K-Pop music and their look are emulated and seen as hella attractive in Japan, but that's about it. Koreans have their own thing and don't really need to look up to anyone else. I mean, they have the 4th strongest economy in Asia IIRC, a strong military, and they have American dollars deeply invested into both.

This. My ex Filipino said light skin Asians (Koreans, Japanese, Chinese and viets) look down on darker skinned Asians. Saying that Hollywood brainwashed them that lighter is beautiful since they look up to American Hollywood films and Disney movies.

That doesn't have to do with race or Hollywood. The concept of pale skin = wealth, stability and high-class has been ingrained into Asian culture for millennia. I'd say they're colorist, not racist. Although, if you're a person with Blonde hair and blue eyes, they'll flock to you just because it's so different.

The country was under developed less than 70 years ago but you got to give props where it is due. Their leadership and industrial vision was incredible. Think of how many people they pulled out of poverty, chaebols global conglomerate created. Western countries might provide finance but in the end culture, dedication, vision, execution are even more important. I recall reading about some prime minister from a Latin America lamenting that their subcontinent had European presence since the 1600s, had Universities but Korea in less than 70 years rose to a Western type country while Latin America is still struggling.

Different... depending on which country you go to.

In Japan, a foreigner is a foreigner 90% of the time, so you being black doesn't really matter. Over there, they have a specific niche group for black men, but not the same for white guys.

In Korea... I'd say that they're colorist.

In Southeast Asia, that shìt really doesn't matter. Just you being American means that you're seen as a status symbol.
