It was crazy, I was playing Super Nintendo earlier just to kill some time, and the first thing I saw on Twitter was that Nintendo press release regarding his death. Gonna fire that bad boy back up and reminisce its greatness :mjcry:

Death
In 2014, Nintendo announced that Iwata would not be present at E3 2014 due to medical related reasons.[8] It was later revealed that he was undergoing surgery for a tumor in the bile duct.[9] On July 12, 2015, Nintendo announced that Iwata died on July 11, 2015 due to the bile duct growth.[1]

Multiplat mario in the future?

No chance of that ever happening.

Sega made way too many bad business decisions. It would take a lot for Nintendo to get in that same position. And even then I still couldn't see it.

Sega was losing far too much money making one screw up after another. Despite what you hear from internet armchair analysts off of Youtube, Nintendo has continued to be a profitable company these days compared to Sega at their darkest days.
