They don't remember how scrutinized they were for the 500/600 price tags of ps3? All they do is lower it by 70 dollars..

I mean I get it, high-end Cell phones retail damn near 600-700 dollars, so 5 bills for a console shouldn't be too surprising. I guess I was too hopeful for that $300 price tag.

But paying for online multiplayer is a deal breaker. I'll still cop, but probably not until there's a price cut. If all fails, i'll finally make the switch to microsoft.

Im talking about console gaming. I dont mingle PC gaming and console gaming when we are having these types of discussions.

What is truly the difference? Hardware capabilities and limitations made it more of a hassle to upstart gaming online with consoles. I guess I kinda get that. But at this point where XBL is pretty much just some bullshyt for them to shower us with ads, and they charge for practically anything extra for games, it's an unnecessary greedy charge.

They'll still keep basic multi player and Netflix free. They know that's a huge reason for catching up to the 360 worldwide so no way in hell they'll charge just to pay online.

But $429/529..... ehh, I don't wanna believe it, BUT.... Sony hasn't been winning on launch prices since the PS2.

what are you complaining about? its cheaper than a ipad and does more complex tasks than a ipad. thats not even alot of money some graphics cards alone cost more than that

Good luck on getting Microsoft to license Windows to run on that steam box. Very few of those PC games are able to run on Linux.

That's probably going to change soon, it was like that on the mac at one time as well and now there are thousands of games available on the mac.

With the support of valve and possibly all their games ported over to linux? That might be the start it needs to start getting heads to focus on the platform which has evolved greatly over the past 5 years.

Microsoft is not in that absolute dominant position they were in 10 years ago to be that arrogant.

Yeah you can dream. I just don't understand why it's such a big deal. We pay $60 per game. Paying that amount to enhance your gaming expierince for the entires year sounds like a good deal to me.

exactly how I feel fam. If there is a playstation world AND PS Plus, then Sony can kiss my ass. I'll stick with their basic online multi. However if PS World replaces PS Plus, and we still get our free shyt all the time, it's a great deal esp if Gaikai comes with it along with the premium features.

As long as "basic" online multi is free, they are fine.
