Yo, Kris gotta be talking about Drake when he says that certain MCs today go around throwing older MC's names out there but don't really, REALLY know about them. To me that's exactly what Drake does with Wu.

That's a good point, never thought of it like that.

maybe, but remember drake didnt have to feature wu tang if he didnt want to :manny:

Never said he did. I actually like that he's introducing Wu to some hip hoppers of this generation. I just get the feeling though that he's not really a big Wu fan. You know, sort of like what KRS was saying. He may know about Method Man, but does he really know about more obscure Wu sh!t? I could be wrong tho :manny:

"I sip the Pora and listen to Cappadonna" - Drake

We all know he exposed himself with that line cause nobody listens to Cappadonna :heh:

Judging alot of Bone's content, You would think that they have no clue or know anything about KRS. These cats studied the OGs and it shows in their music
And you can tell Krazyie is authentic cause he said a song that only real KRS-One fans would know about. He didn't give a generic "The Bridge is Over". He said "Ya Slippin". I give him wild props for that

Also back then, thy grew up listening to rap in the early to late 80s where KRS-One ruled (Along with Kane, Rakim, etc) and basically all the big rappers were from either NY or Cali. Some south sprinkled in but you really had to seek it out or be from that town.

he told Krayzie Bone "check your email,im going to send you 40 pages of history to look over"

:why:you a grown man getting homework...it was a dope interview though,i agree hiphop is falling becuz dudes is no longer scholars and rep for they area.....they don't speak for they community, too many of em wanna talk about they own personal lifes and what they go thru being famous:rudy:....most yalls personal lives aint that damn interesting to hear about past 1 album, which makes it even more important for them to speak for people and tell storys from other peoples perspectives.

Could tell Krazyie was a true fan, and had a lot of genuine respect and admiration for KRS, and Krazyie a legend in his own right. It makes sense though cause KRS did some interesting innovative things with flows even back in the day. Like the brother said in this thread, he picked out Ya Strugglin, not one of the more known tracks. It's admirable the respect Krayzie showed and his enthusiasm to keep learning even as a highly successful Hip Hop legend. Hopefully they build further, and maybe even a joint one day, which would be crazy too here, no pun intended lol.
