This has been explained before but this is because they aren't "good guys" especially the team leader Goku and anti hero Vegeta. Goku is looking for a good fight above most else and Vegeta is just looking to surpass Goku.

it truly is a situation where they're saving the world because they have the power to. Not because they're heroically inclined people by nature.

if the planet isn't in imminent danger all of em are basically and living their daily lives.

they accept murderers and ex villains into their circle like it's nothing too. vegeta blew up a section full of people at the tournament during the buu saga and their reaction was basically "vegeta what's wrong with you?! " never brought up later on that vegeta did something that heinous outside of the initial scene



goku was all smiles when vegeta tricked him and said let's fight buu together and that was not even an hour later

Just started watching Dragon Ball Z. I always thought it was for little kids based on the animation so I always overlooked it .
