Lets not act like Krillins Destructo disc wasn't viable all the way up to Frieza. And he would have iced Vegeta if not for Goku's kind heart. Not bad for a human.

Cell was just that much smarter. Using their techniques against them, masking his energy down to zero (something that used to be the Z fighters ace)
