If the hip hop hall of fame (there isn't one but just humor me) wanted to mount a statue of Bambaataa in front of it for his hip hop contributions, after we have confirmation that he's molested various minors, are we okay with the statue being erected (pause)? Of course we're not, so stop acting like this fukkery he's got himself in doesn't effect his placement in our hearts and minds on a hip hop level. Nobody's celebrating OJ Simpson's contributions to football bro, and all he did was allegedly body some white people, this Bambaataa is molesting minors, he should be stoned to near death and then set on fire, anyone claiming they can ignore his transgressions and just judge him on his rap legacy is in denial and frontin, stop that shyt. KRS should be ashamed of himself, never really fukked with that clown anyway, was never no Ra/G.Rap/Kane/LL
what about r kelly? :lupe:

If you support pedophiles because they make hot music, you should be shot in the face.

I'm not gonna hold KRS responsible for anything.

Yes he could have worded it better but as other people have said, I think he's trying to preserve the reputation and integrity of hip-hop and with that, Bambataa's place within hip-hop, thus separating it from the allegations in his personal life.

I never cared about Bambataa anyway if I'm honest, he's WAY before my time but I appreciate his contributions. But KRS is royalty, and nothing can change that.

The question is how do you separate the personal life from the music/pop culture contributions? And should it be? But the media and court of public opinion pick and choose sides anyway.

KRS didn't co-sign pedophilia. He basically took a stance of "that's that man's personal life, I don't have knowledge of that, but his contributions to hip-hop shouldn't be ignored or denied. He will be judge be the law and God." Is that wrong? Up for discussion.

it didn't sound like he was defending molesting kids while I was listening to the podcast. KRS just said baambaataa place and contribution in hip-hop history was cemented and that if baambaataa was gay, then that's his personal life. KRS did say if kids did get molested then the law has to handle it. he just gave a very safe answer from what i remember. that title sounds like click bait.
Krs is basically separating hiphop contributions from his personal life.

Meaning he's not throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Kinda like how alot of people aren't throwing away them r Kelly collections :usure:
