thier is NO WAY around it......... it's been apart of the music industry since the phonograph was invented...

it's like SELLING A$$ a byatch might deny doing it...but in many indirect ways she is...

can't HATE THE GAME...just the PLAYAS in it...

i was just consulting an executive producer from the bible belt recently on why HE MUST "PAY" the club deejay, the mixtape deejay and even the strip club deejay and in some extreme instances the P.D

I'd be lying if i'd say i didn't do it

of course it was on a wayyy smaller scale than the jay-z's and others...

but it came with the territory.........it's the reason why so many of these rappers are linked up with kingpins or crime figures...... :kanyeshrug:

and it's not limited to hip hop.....the highly respected Philadelphia International home to teddy pendegrass, billy paul and patti labelle COULD NEVER HAVE GOTTEN TO BE A HOUSEHOLD NAME ON URBAN RADIO without payola....

or in some cases "muscle"
