There are AMAZING boom bap style producers out there all over the world... I've heard random unknowns on YT and IG with INCREDIBLE bangers. They would've jumped at the chance to produce on this album and FOR FREE. And if Kris was worried about samples, these kids make crazy joints nowadays with no samples or they chop it up so much its undetectable. Hell, Kris could've produced this HIMSELF... he used to make really dope beats for Mad Lion, Broadway and his own albums (like his self titled "KRS One" album from '95)..
BUT YET... hardhead Kris decided to go with this "SUN One" dude for his album... dude has GARBAGGIO beats. Such a waste. Must be his son or nephew or someone... but Kris has had a HORRIBLE ear for beats after "I Got Next"... any album after that is riddled with bad production.
Krs produced Aw yeah on his self titled joint.
Him and Redman produce dope beats. Redman did alot on Darkside.

Bro, I already said in my post that he made dope beats on his self titled KRS-One album from '95. And he produced way more than just "Ah Yeah" which was one of the weaker beats he made on that album, and really that song was old at the time. It originally came out in 94 on a Black Panthers tribute compilation album. But "Free Mumia" is one of the absolute bangers that he did on the '95 album. Str8 up...

I thought the Hip Hop Lives album had some good beats (may have been 2007), but you’re definitely right besides that. Damn shame he is still a top tier lyricist now but has so much bad or dated production on her
