I wasn't able to listen to it initially cause the audio is recorded very feint but I had a moment just now.
He isn't even defending Bambatta he is talking about something different entirely.

The irony is, threads like this one with the express intent of disparaging the character of Hip Hop iconography is what he is actually addressing in the video. Not Bambatta himself.
