To me, I wouldn't negate Bam's contributions to Hip Hop based on what went on in his personal life...I think you can acknowledge that and still hold him accountable as a person for what allegedly went on, just like I firmly believe :mj: was a pedophile and still love him as an artist and even as a human being as I feel like he himself was a victim of abuse and had some mental health issues.

But all this "some people should be infallible" is COMPLETE NONSENSE. I understood KRS's initial stance of not wanting to play into the controversy that Star was stirring up. Not wanting to feed into sensationalism of such a serious thing, especially something involving one of your friends/mentors was perfectly valid, but this

:snoop:

You can't negate KRS's contibutions either when it comes to this culture/art...but you can say when either are dead ass wrong, which is the case here.
This sums it up perfectly.

:russell:

Kanye has no album touching Return of the Boom Bap and his BDP stuff (esp. first few)
Meh, disagree Kanye's first three are just better musical products to me. Also, if I eliminate Kanye I'm losing a lot of the other classics he produced or was featured on.

Honestly regardless of their actions I'm not gonna say I won't bump them again. I just separate the entertainer from the person.

TLOP is hot trash and Yeezus is blasphemous material for how garbage it is

808s is poor

the rest is great tbh can't complain

Ye has given us 4 great albums

Problem with TLOP is that it's so inconsistent

It has some songs that make me go :ahh:

But it has some that make me go :scust::patrice:

Not a huge fan of 808's but Heartless is my shyt tbh (don't kill me pls)

I'm talking Kanye's personal discog, doesn't mean I won't listen to The Fix anymore or The Blueprint or Be etc.

You sound more rational than I do. I'm speaking in the heat of the moment, but at the same time I don't feel as comfortable listening to one's music knowing their background or what they've done. It doesn't feel the same. Like if you came to find your favourite lyricist had ghostwriters or something.

I get it now :ohhh:
These new generation of rappers is snitch ass nikkas.
Real street nikkas from the old school allowed a pedophile to roam free for years without being arrested because that's what real nikkas from the old school do :ohhh:
Thanks for clearing that up :salute:

I'm not talking about rappers nikka I'm talking about people everything don't revolve around fukking rappers

Obviously KRS ain't a real person or the nikkas ain't real street nikkas and is mentally fukking sick.

When I say anything about rappers the fans did that ordinary people.

On occasion. But I'm not really one to venture out of hip-hop with the exception of like 3 or 4 artists that I will listen to religiously. MJ isn't one of them.

Oh yeah Illmatic re-entered my top 5 favorite albums. Madvillainy had that spot but tbh I'm not feeling DOOM much lately and he may fall out of my top 5 for either Nas or Jay-Z

But I just couldn't take it anymore. Way too many GOAT songs on one album.
