Probably the GOAT Hip Hop performer, there are some other great ones of course, ranging from Melle Mel, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, even 2 Pac was dope. There's a lot, Big Daddy Kane is brilliant. But when it comes to the all round full package I would give it to KRS cause he has the content, the message, the life changing/improving capabilities along with the hype energetic show. You can see there's a large reggae influence there, and that's dope too cause there's a lot of dope reggae performers, KRS is like an amalgamation of Hip Hop reggae, in quite a few ways actually. Also, a man that age, RIPPING the stage, non stop, breathe control, clarity, energy, and all that shyt is commendable in itself and remarkable, he seems to get better and better live. There's a reason he's THE MC lol.
KRS is essential to Hip Hop going forward, he's already done so much and continues to diligently do so. He's historic in the past, important for the present and arguably most importantly the future, the real new legends and greats, KRS will undoubtedly inspire many of them, KRS has inspired so many great artists already, from K-Rino to 2 Pac to Nas, so many. Most important person in Hip Hop overall to me, cause he's dedicated his life to it, he's got the Hip Hop book that is like the Bible of Hip Hop, was an integral part of the Hip Hop Declaration Of Peace. He's a huge part of humanity's future, he is a prophet, a visionary, a true leader and many of his ideas are way ahead of his time. If people really got what he was saying their mind would be blown, but a lot of people misinterpret things because he speaks in a metaphorical, metaphysical and even at times sarcastic allegorical way, sometimes he almost speaks like it was scripturally.
