The people who diss him definitely didn't grow up on his music. You kinda had to be there.
This cat is the epitome of what an MC should be. He's pretty much been in my Top 3 since I was a kid. People talk about classics, but there aren't many who have as many classic and monumental joints as KRS. He was just a ridiculously effective MC. Narratives, battle shyt, just spittin', social commentary, political, historian type joints, party tracks, etc. This dude did it all, and on a level that hasn't been matched since.
