To this day I believe the democratic primaries and race was corrupted and sabotaged by the powers that be

Tell me how kerry was an afterthought in the initial primaries and then all of. Sudden the famous dean scream controversy occurs and Kerry gets vaulted to the candidacy

it was a very close election that had a 2.4% difference in the popular vote. considering how many people don't even vote, it could have easily went either way

Those popular vote numbers are always going to be out of whack.

Consider how bad Bush was...the fact that he STILL got more votes and carried so many more states shows how weak Kerry was. Chances are Obama is going to win Ohio and Florida again...thats 47 votes right there lol.

Kerry had no shot IMO even against a president many were not confident in.

I understand how the electoral system works

but with numbers that close, I don't think it's fair to say things couldn't have easily gone the other way. it is easy to claim to have been confident in something after the fact though...

To be honest the lack of enthusiasm by Democratic voters, especially Blacks, let Bush back in office, it shouldn't have been that close. Kerry was a decent candidate but the Karl Rove attack machine was able to discredit Kerry despite him being a war veteran and a having 30 years of experience on foreign policy.
