I think a lot of these nature videos are CGI. How do they catch this action in nature? How do they get those incredible close ups?

Still a cool vid and that plot twist at the end was cool.

when I saw it just walk up to that huge white mantis I thought they were cool with eachother because It didn't react at all to seeing a predator 5 times it's size just staring at it

so I was when he got snatched up

Yeah the stag beetle and the Rhino beetle go hard cause they are fully armored.
Sometimes they end up in a draw but they rarely loose.

I think if they forced the bugs to kill each other instead of simply fight I wouldn't watch it, but under the official japanese bug fight rules if a bug continually runs away they will declare it the loser and stop the match, so the only bugs that fight to the death are the ones that want to. I don't like the youtube vids of lil white kids making bugs fight by pushing them into one another. Thats lame. But the official japanese bug fight scene I got no quarrel with.

That Rhinocerous beetle is like Daniel Cormier ragdolling shyt.
Watching it fight a spider is like watching a legit high level Wrestler vs Submission expert in an MMA match.
