You had guys like Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, and Brock Lesnar who are legitimate world-class athletes with serious accolades and Olympic experience debut in your company within the span of years. Nowadays the best athletes they got are some football wash-outs or dudes with slight amateur wrestling experience and maybe a state championship somewhere. Athletic dudes also always seem to be the most coachable in the ring

Jason Jordan and Chad Gable in NXT have a legit wrestling background - Jordan to NCAA level and Gable at the 2012 Olympics. It's not surprising that both look to be two of the brightest prospects in the entire company
