actual people in the business constantly praising HBKActually he wanted to train under Dean Malenko and the TX Sojourn was his second option...a scathing detail they often forget when it's convenient.

Kurt is actually a pretty humble guy. And he's not only good, he's great. When he was in his prime, there wasn't a better wrestler in the world. You compare his situation to Michaels but Kurt was never put in the situation to be the main guy/ face of the company like Michaels was. Like you pointed out, Rock and Austin where the top guys who had that crossover appeal. And Vince didn't decide to make him a star, his talents on the ring made him a star. When Rock and Austin got completely out of the way around 04' -05' the lane was open to become that badass that you're talking about and he was to an extent. By that time the gears where shifting tho and WWE had their sights set on the up and comers Orton/Batista/Cener.Kurt Angle isn't as great as he thinks he is...he didn't even like pro wrestling at first. When Vince decided to make him a star and push him to success, then he wanted to be a "bad ass" and not be goofy and the comical heel he became that people actually respected. He wanted to be a kick ass top star like Rock and Austin...he has said this in many interviews. But his ceiling wasn't like that because he wasn't drawing money..much like when Michaels was the "boy toy" and he couldn't draw a lick.
