Are kurupt and Kendrick Lamar traditional West Coast MCs?
Kurupt id say it depends on what he's giving you and what type of track it is....even when he's givin you the "lyrical" version of himself id be suprised if u told me he was from NY but I can definitly see the Philly in em...I don't know if we ever talk about the differences but Philly nikkas definitly bring it different from the lyrical tip....but u got the laid back, smooth Kurpt who spit game too who's not tryna put on the lyrical display who kills shyt too and he's traditionally west coast...both versions are great which is why Kurupt was a letdown, not to many emcees more complete....
Kendrick is traditional too,but moreso for the unsung lyrical acts of the west coast who bring a more poetic/spoken word form to the table.
Game never felt west coast to me for whatever reason outside of his shyt talking skills

...but it makes sense as I think he wuz more influenced by east coast hiphop then west coast, think he studied them a little more to learn to rap.
