From Chronic to Doggystyle to Dogg Food Album, he was on another planet... he was still dope on his solo albums but he was invincible as a battle rapper during that period and was top 5 in the game IMO

That was the time for him to drop! Dude was in his prime then. All of the label drama and dysfunction really f*cked up Kurupt's career. He deserved better than what Death Row gave him. He could've had a classic run.

True. Kurupt said that Rage's joint was supposed to be the first one before Snoop's album.

But Suge wanted to skip her and focus on Snoop. So we didn't get the Rage album until '97, when the label was basically done and she had to find her own producers for the project. She said the only person working at the office when she was doing her album was a receptionist, lol.

I wouldn't put prodigy in that bracket but I understand the sentiment

Prodigy at least held some sort of standard to his rhyming and said some wild shyt that would make you think towards the end.

But yeah cube and kurupt... Bruh... I actually wonder how he remembers all his verses because you could just cut and paste every verse from the last 10 years over multiple beats and you wouldn't even bat an eyelid.

alcohol really fukked Kurupts career...it got worse when Pac introduced him to Hennessey after he joined Death Row...he was still himself for a bit but when it was time to do his solo album around '97-'98 he was already a full blown alcoholic...he would show up to recording sessions a lot of the times wasted asf...in fact Callin Out Names was recorded while he was piss drunk throwing up in the booth...when he was sober he still had it but that led to his inconsistency from that point on
