So is he a liberal Ben Shapiro?Kulinsky is a left wing white supremacist.
I donate now why yall keep ignoring it.
He HATES anything that targets minority empowerment.
He just likes to gloss over everything in terms of class.

nah man...kulinski is a bit of an idiot on several frontsi agree with kyle's point in the abstract, but im not sure his example accurately encompasses all "identity politics". he is absolutely right that corporate democrats like kamala and obama will use IP to distract from the fact that they are not going to go against big money interests or decrease the warmongering. he is, however, wrong if he thinks you can solve all the real problems of identity (such as mass incarceration of black men) with colorblind politics. i think it is pretty clear that bad policies caused by color conscious policy will often need to be addressed by color conscious policy if you want to actually solve the problem in a reasonable time frame (without reparations, AAs may need a couple more hundred years to catch up with whites in terms of wealth)
the truth lies somewhere in the middle. i think we have to be conscious of democrats who wish to have us focused on the number of women in silicon valley instead of the fact that the billionaires of silicon valley, regardless of gender, are destabilizing our democracy even faster than voter suppression tactics. but we also have to know when a black issue really is a black issue and fight for it no matter who it offends because color blind policy usually just helps those who are already relatively privileged (ie white women benefit most from affirmative action because it is not exclusively for blacks)
but anyway, kyle is pretty good most of the time but he is prone to bad arguments on this issue. sam seder's show is pretty much peerless. i suggest everybody check that out
So tell me something yall.
Alot of people are talking about black issues in this thread.
I never even considered putting things like police brutality against blacks or disproportionate blacks incarcerated than whites under the identity politics umbrella.
Is that where those that disagree with me these issues at?
I'm confused, how can you put very real issues like that in something as trivial and stupid as identity politics?
the thing thats crazy to me, is identity politics, the biggest issue SHOULD be black males in prison, but is it ? Even with a black man as president, thats when BLM even started, that shows you what identity politics gets you. but this issue of black male incarceration isnt even spoken about but what was the big issue ? trannys in the fukkin bathroom, dudes acting like identity politics pushers actually care about black people, they care about fags, trannys and white women, Its not like they actually believe in helping black people. and honestly they hardly even talk about and do lip service at least. Thats why I dont get people falling for it. I agree that just ending the war on drugs isnt going to necessarily solve things, though it would be better than now. but im sure theyd just find some other shyt to lock black males up for. so in theory sure Im for identity politics (in a sense, im not voting for like ben carson). but the version we have ? its a joke and doesnt affect black people at all.So tell me something yall.

I prefer Kyle over Sam Seder. He gets to the point. Sam and his co-host just interrupt themselves too much and they take forever to get to the point thus making their videos super long winded for no reason.i agree with kyle's point in the abstract, but im not sure his example accurately encompasses all "identity politics". he is absolutely right that corporate democrats like kamala and obama will use IP to distract from the fact that they are not going to go against big money interests or decrease the warmongering. he is, however, wrong if he thinks you can solve all the real problems of identity (such as mass incarceration of black men) with colorblind politics. i think it is pretty clear that bad policies caused by color conscious policy will often need to be addressed by color conscious policy if you want to actually solve the problem in a reasonable time frame (without reparations, AAs may need a couple more hundred years to catch up with whites in terms of wealth)

Is it a good thing that someone gets to the point...when their point is wrong? :bpthink:I prefer Kyle over Sam Seder. He gets to the point.
Wrong according to who? You?Is it a good thing that someone gets to the point...when their point is wrong? :bpthink:
IMO, Sam Seder and Kyle Kulinsky's arguments differ in substance. When you have time, go back and watch Sam's debates with libertarians (callers, academics, and politicians); his depth of knowledge vastly outshines Kulinsky.
Kulinsky is too whiny for my taste.
they are long winded, but i cant find any other show that is equally as informative without being boringI prefer Kyle over Sam Seder. He gets to the point. I like Kyle the most because I find him to be most unbiased, he is progressive & I lean towards libertarianism. Is it a good thing that someone gets to the point...when their point is wrong? :bpthink:

one of the oldest written descriptions of identity politics came from black feminists in the 70s. race is america's first identity politic even when people did not use the term.So tell me something yall.

Jimmy is my guy, but his show is more like comedic commentary. He is a terrible interviewer and offers barely any info not included in an article he is referencing. He's very funny tho and a straight shooter.I like Kyle the most because I find him to be most unbiased, he is progressive & I lean towards libertarianism.
I liked Jimmy Dore too but sometimes not as unbiased.
Post some good sam seder stuff, never saw any of his stuff.
I do lean towards libertarianism but all my news sources are mostly progressive.
I want unbiased news/commentary more than what I agree with.
Makes you realize that biased news is what divides the people!!
