Oh yeah because he hits 11 3s in a game on the regular. Point is he's ALWAYS had that 'killer instinct/confidence'. LeBron's got nothing to do with it, he just had a hot game where he made ridiculous shots, it's as simple as that. None of this stupid ass leadership you're talking. He did what needed to be done, like he always has.
No he has not. And I'm not trying to take anything away from him. He's a great player and I'm a big fan. But if he showed that killer instinct he had last night ALWAYS then the cavs would had a much better record over the last couple years. Last night is a game the cavs would have lost just a couple weeks ago. You can tell Kyrie decided he alone was not gonna let that happen. I have not seen that from him before.

Again I'm not criticizing him whatsoever, just saying he turned that corner from Allstar to superstar last night. And the only reason I attributed some of that to bron is because after every big shot Kyrie looked right over at him and he was the one cheering the hardest/loudest. I'm sure lebron told him "you got this". And he went out and did it.

Just stop man. Iv watched every game Kyrie has played in since his rookie debut in 2011 against Detroit. The kid was nicknamed Mr. 4th Quarter very early in his career for his multiple clutch performances when the Cavs had the chance to win games. He has hit multiple shots like that over his career, the most notable at Toronto (what @Gil Scott-Heroin posted), OKC at home and away, Charlotte, 76ers, Boston, etc...

You clearly dont watch the kid play, you read BSPN articles and look at box scores and then try to spew shyt out your ass like you know something. He has had a terrible team around him for 3 years. He did what he could when he had the opportunities.

1. People thought he was a Mike Conley type nikka because they read idiotic scouting reports from nbadraft net. Nothing wrong will Conley, except that Kyrie plays nothing like him and he has aspects to his game that Conley just don't have in the toolbox.

2. Nikkas don't like that he single-handedly ended the Next Evolution in Points Guards hype by showing us that elite skills will beat elite athleticism every time. Rose, Russ and Wall was supposed to be the shyt big thing, physically powerful, supremely athletic PGs, and Kyrie just waltz in the league and put up the best rookie season for a PG since Chris Paul, whose skill-based game was supposedly becoming obsolete. And then Steph took it up a notch and started dominating with his shooting and improved handle, that really ended shyt. But it took Steph a few years to blossom. Kyrie came in at 19 and was at all-star level. He took a lotta nikka shine, Wall in particular, and people just can't let it go.

3. He went to Duke. They mad.

Hitting game winners =/= willing your team to a win.

I could post highlight reels of Mo Williams hitting game winners, but that does not mean he has superstar confidence.

:stopitslime:

I've watched both lebron and Kyrie grow and last night was the first time Kyrie played like that. his body language and everything was just different. He knew he was winning that game. He looked like he felt he was the only one on that court.

you didn't watch Kyrie until this year. dude been had that clutch gene. they called him mr. 4th quarter for a reason. dude was killing it in the 4th quarter his 1st and 2nd season.

if you don't believe me go to this forum and ask them why they call him mr 4th quarter

they, like myself have been to or watched every game before kyrie came into the league and even before lebron was drafted.

I swear fandom makes y'all throw any reasonable convo out the window.:smh:

The dude is clearly maturing as a player and getting better at leading the team. It shows on and off the court. He admits it, his teammates admit it, his coaches are saying it.

But somehow here he's the same player he's always been and I'm just making shyt up.

Its only because you are trying to argue something that you have no knowledge about. The kid has been doing what he did to portland last night his whole career. But since you decided to not watch him until this season, you think its a new thing.

Sure he is maturing and becoming a better leader, but his ability to close out winnable games and make big shots has been a particularly noticeable factor of his game since his rookie season.

Breh, I live less than 5 minutes away from the arena. This deflection just doesn't work

I said nothing about closing out winable games. I'm taking about singlehandly making games winable in the first place.

Yes his big shot making ability has always been noted. And his only real longstanding criticism has been that his talent could not will the cavs to win games. He killed that criticism last night.
