Kyrie is one of the top ISO players in the league. Other than that he really doesn't do much else for a team. It's not a bad thing to be really good at but when his drives and shots aren't falling at a good rate he's damn near useless out there.

stop it, you know what you're doing trying to slight lebron stop the bs.
I'm not trying to slight LeBron. But that's the reality of playing next to a player like him. If your shot is off, you can't bump up your shooting percentages by getting points in transition and/or easy scoring opportunities because he dominates the ball and takes them for himself. You have to make do with secondary touches and create in the halfcourt. The team is better off with the ball in LeBron's hands, but that doesn't mean that doesn't have an impact on Kyrie's efficiency when his shot is off. LeBron scored most of his points in transition or in the first third of the shot clock before the Warriors defense got set, which is why he ended up being having a high FG%. There's a reason why he only took 4-5 jumpshots during the entire game.

exerting so much on defense ? :laff: he's literally been the worst on defense on the team by minutes
Yes he's exerting a ton of energy on defense. You try running around and through picks for 40 mins as a PG against a team like GS.

They gotta get Klay Thompson off of him.

That iso-half court stuff can work on the other guards but Klay's too locked in; Kyrie expends way too much energy trying to break him down.

They gotta use baseline screens and curl screens to force the switch and get a better matchup.

He hasn't been shooting well and he's exerting a ton of energy on defense, but LeBron is soaking up most of the transition opportunities and leaving barely any for him; forcing him to produce his points in the halfcourt - which makes what he did in the Finals last season even more special. It's what happens when you play next to LeBron and your shot is off, you can't bring up your percentages with easy scoring opportunities and develop rhythm because LeBron dominates the ball so much.
Nah bruh

When he got Ian Clark on him he cooked him

But kyrie has Stephanie number
But kyrie would have won them the title two ears ago
But kyrie but kyrie but
Sweep

This is a simple question. Are the Warriors as presently constructed, the same team they were two years ago? The question requires a simple yes or no.

He's getting locked up

He easily scored when Clark was on him

This is not some tired on defense, shooting bad stuff you typed out

This is a well executed gameplan on a great ISO player that's not making adjustments to help his team
:gucci:

He only scored two buckets on him, and Clark's defense on those possessions most certainly wasn't bad - both shots Kyrie hit were tough. Kyrie's missed a # of shots he usually makes against other defenders during both games. Even open looks. Kyrie shot well in G1, and didn't in G2. I don't see how this is a black mark against his performance in this series all of a sudden because of one bad game.

He most definitely is tired from exhausting himself on defense - navigating around screens trying to chase the Warriors guards everywhere, and his shot has been off for a large part of the playoffs. When he was shooting poorly against the Pacers was it because he was getting locked up, or because his shot was off?

Yea, Klay has been incredible on Kyrie. He's not giving him space and he's not letting Kyrie get a step on him. You can see the difference when he gets Steph or Ian Clark on him. He can go where he wants in those matchups.
