I get that lol….

But which part of “I love all people and all religions I’m from a melting pot and don’t 100% co-sign everything I post” needs further explanation?

What “understanding” is trying to be gained beyond his explanation?

This is where the paternalistic nature of some white folks gets exposed.

“Explain yourself negro!!!”

*Black man explains himself

“Now explain yourself in MY words!”

:snoop:
If Kyrie could explain himself, you’d be quoting that explanation. But he isnt good at explaining shyt because he finds things in passing, not from real study.

Hes not equipped. Its the equivalent of wearing a Che Guvera shirt because its cool but cant speak on his exploits from Angola, Cuba, Argentina, Bolivia, or speak on his commentary.

I read Alis first book from my dad’s library over 20 years ago. If some bigot reporter tried to ask me about a comment I made on him, I would easily refer to a chapter which shaped my beliefs based on Ali’s own commentary. Why is it so difficult for Kyrie?

You dont step out stating shyt without putting in the work to defend what comes with it.

We really going to act surprised as black folk when asked to explain ourselves to defend Kyrie?

Kyrie lacks depth of explanation because he simply lacks depth. Its a costume to him.

You say “when a Black man explains”…..this dude?? :dahell:

Umm Tyler hypothetically posting that goes against our people. What Kyrie posted did not. See the difference? What group of people would not defend something that is for their people and be against something that is AGAINST their people?

This is bigger than Kyrie. It’s about how every time someone with prominence broaches the subject of black people being Hebrews they’re given consequences by the media. Why are y’all addressing Kyrie over that?
:patrice:

Of course people are gonna be more outspoken against something that they feel is an attack on them, that’s not what I’m talking about.

I’m talking about this logic that’s being used to cape for Kyrie of “Well just because he posted a link to content with antisemitism doesn’t mean people should call him one”

Knowing damn well if Gordon Hayward posted a MAGA propaganda doc we wouldn’t be trying to hear defenses of “Just because he posted it doesn’t mean he agrees with it, he just trying to start a dialogue :troll:

This is a documentary that includes fake Hitler quotes and Holocaust denial, y’all really need to stop playing dumb as to why Jewish people would find it offensive.

Black people have to stop getting behind and defending shallow idiots … incompetence is not virtuous and shouldn’t be lauded as such …Kyrie continues to embarrass himself with his inability to intelligently articulate himself to the same public he grandstands in front of …this is why Kareem called him a comical buffoon…

Everything about him is performative in nature and unbearably stereotypical in regards to being a self aggrandizing dolt …he needs to actually do the work by engaging in better intellectual circles instead of basing his world view around Amazon dvds and YouTube clips ..it’s sad …especially when he’s speaking on issues involving the black community at large …he needs to stop dragging the community into these babble fest and keep the shyt he talks about insulated to his own personal issues

I had no problem understanding what Kyrie was saying. It was crystal clear to me.

But you’re right. Kyrie lacks academic “depth” the same way you lack a killer crossover. Which is why the “Jordan Route” is the most wise prototype for Black athletes to follow in my opinion.

These topics are way too complicated and complex to address in post game press conferences or through tweets. Even for those that ARE equipped.

BTW. Kyrie isn’t Black or a man anymore? Is that where we’re landing?

You can’t quote back an explanation of his explanation. All you’re saying is “I understand.”

Niqqa….he flim flammed. All that social media real estate and he still cant explain shyt. Youre making excuses for his babble.

He has zero history of explaining shyt with depth and detail. How much academic study does it take to read a book, piggy back it off of other books one has read? You really think we are going to learn our history in schools? :dahell:

What you mean academic depth? Ali had more depth than Kyrie and didnt sniff college. He simply cared enough to study and learn. For Kyrie, shyt comes off as a social media search and him saying “oh…thats cool.”

A week ago hes retweeting Ye not reading books. Next week, hes “pointing through a book list.”

But you get his empty explanations :camby:

Every Black man aint qualified to speak for people.

Yall are reckless.

When Ali was Kyrie’s age he was following and promoting a man that believed Yacub was a Black scientist that created the white man in a lab.

:pachaha:

It’s nice that we can have all this grace and understanding for our brother in hindsight though.

When Ali was his age, he could defend that very belief and not cry to his amen corner that “a reporter is attacking me!!” Kyrie gives you zero.

Then you write “ BTW. Kyrie isn’t Black or a man anymore? Is that where we’re landing?”

That settles it. Thomas Sowell, Jason Whitlock and others are worth speaking on our behalf because they are simply black

Then they need to come out in front of everyone and define antisemitism. Because anytime a black man says Hebrews were black they come out with that label. Whether Kyrie, Desean Jackson, Kyrie or Nick Cannon it’s the same gameplan.

They have a right to be offended but that doesn’t give them the right to silence and punish. Not anymore that is. Every other group is open to scrutinization EXCEPT them and that’s simply not gonna fly any more.

Questioning their telling of history isn’t a threat that their existence either yet they always pretend it is. When someone is racist against us it involves name calling and denying of opportunities. That ain’t what’s happening here

I don’t buy into the concept of any man speaking on my behalf. In the exchange, he mentioned that he was speaking to a certain group and not for them. If that’s what Kyrie is claiming to do, I would strongly push back..

But you know what my ONLY prerequisite would be for one to speak from a Black man’s perspective?

1-Be a Black man

2-Have a perspective

Youre buying it here.

The man has long shown he lacks depth and speaks peaceful word salad.

It’s not that lopsided.

Kyrie don’t make nearly as much money without “the media”
He signs contract based on his skill level and what the pro sports organization wants to pay him...All im saying is media acting like they the reason they there when its the players...Same with these commentators the players GIVE THEM A JOB is all im saying without the rare athletic talent theres nothing to talk about/media about.

I don’t have to read any of these to know none of the articles call him a racist, xenophobic, or misogynistic, despite his obvious support of one.

Kyrie posted a link with zero commentary, and he has been labeled as antisemitic.

Generally, mainstream media hasn't called Kyrie "racist" or "antisemitic" either. They just said he promoted an antisemitic movie, which he did.

Tom Brady had a MAGA hat once in 2015, and got called a Trump Supporter for the next years even though he clarified that he wasn't supporting Trump. Kyrie posted an antisemitic movie to all his followers, and got accused of promoting an anti-semitic movie. Neither one got called anything extra in mainstream media other than what their actions justfied.

Kyrie had more than enough chance to explain himself and he did this

Then deleted the post.

This. He's had so many fukking chances to explain himself, they give him a platform to talk about it as long and specifically as he wants, and every fukking time he dodges the questions and just talks in circles.

What bothers me the most is Kyrie has intelligent capacity, and he can clearly explain himself when he wants to (like when he bodied that reporter on the "LeBron is a father figure" question). But his takes on current events always seems shallow as fukk and if he knows more than what he shows, he sure isn't showing evidence of it.

He really said, "Kyrie means Yahweh so I looked up Yahweh on the internet and this is what I found." :snoop:

If Tyler Herro posted a link to a documentary that had racist propaganda in it, but he left no commentary, would you be caping for him if people accused him of being racist?

I get it, y’all feel like y’all have to stay on code and defend Kyrie, but the reality is dude moved stupid and brought this on himself.

Bogut gets called a racist all the time on here on far less. I mean, if they really want to argue "the movie is accurate" or "anti-semitism is a good thing", that would be one way to play it. But trying to play it like Kyrie is only being held accountable for what he posts because he's Black is just goofy. If any white athlete of Kyrie's stature posted a Holocaust denial film or something that said slavery was a choice or some shyt they'd lose any mainstream endorsements and be catching shyt in every interview.
