He's raising awareness on the dark side of production and it's being dismissed with semantics.
i have no problem with him raising awareness, people have spoken on the condition of child labor overseas before.
I just thought it was curious that he made himself out to be the victim as much as those children.
worded in a wierd way for me is all

He's right. The nice comfortable world rich people live in is still propped up by slave labor and child labor all over the world, especially in the global south, but it's really everywhere. You mention it and people call you crazy, but it's there for everyone to see. You can even invest in it if you so choose. But if you have a moral problem with it, people look at you like you're betraying their cause or something. It's wild. It's unbearable. That's why we try not to even think about it.

But the day will come when this house of cards falls apart. And nobody will be laughing and saying "I told you so." It will just be suffering for all.

Try to have an upbeat day, though. Sorry.

It’s just the fact, if not for the exploitation of African labor majority of the developed wouldn’t be able to afford these devices.

If people knew what they would have to sacrifice in order for Africa to get a fair shot, everyone outside of Africa including the blacks would say “fukk Africa”.

It’s just goofy that dudes are trying to make this align with their politics when majority of the world is benefiting from the scheme in some shape or form.
You're insane. Goatsung doesn't use child labor and has a zero tolerance policy. Don't try to make it look like everyone is doing it because you personally are ok with it.

Why are the leaders of those countries allowing their children to be subjected to such harsh exploitive condition?

Sounds like a failure of leadership or blatant corruption.
Nobody forcing those boys to work, they trying to make a way for their families.

The bad part is they aren’t being paid anywhere close to the value their labor is generating.

And they won’t get paid more because the companies buying the coltan have a cartel to price fix.

Well personally I didn't know Tesla used child labor so I think one issue outweighs the other here.

You being naive, their is no such thing at ethically mined coltan, they just use paperwork tricks to make it look good.

The President of those Countries are at fault for letting these tech companies exploit their resources and people.

You still don't know if we're being honest. Tesla manufactures all of its vehicles in America. Congo is in africa.
Knowing elon he still might be fukking with kids in the congo, but they not making teslas over there.
Perhaps he's purchasing some raw materials from the congo and attributing their bad labor practices to tesla because of that,.
tesla has no auto manufacturing plants in the congo though.

He’s right. Just living in the us you should keep in mind the atrocities that have been committed just so that you can use your iPhone to post on the coli while chilling on your couch on a Thursday afternoon. There’s literally people dying of starvation this very minute. Shyt really is fukked up

Some are internet militants who dedicate their lives to watching who black men are fukking but the real ones are out there using their platforms to ask legit questions.

Hate him or love him, Kyrie Irving is that guy. :wow:

He's such an odd person and honestly cannot understand him. His takes on things are just all over the place.

Like, this is an explicit anti-capitalist take. It's as left wing as it gets, but then he'll push some insanely right wing shyt like that movie on Amazon.

its not even just elon, its the manufacture of electric car batteries in general
