For the record no one outside of Boston thought Rondo was any good back in 2008, nikkas didn't start giving Rondo his credit until that Orlando series he had.

I'm a UK stan though breh.....I already knew what Rondo could do. I watched him for 2 years in college.

Are we going by "casual" b-ball heads to determine if people are REAL PGs or not?:dwillhuh:

Rondo has always been a pure pass-first PG. Assist totals dont make you a PG.....it's how you get your assists which counts.

Saw him early last season against the Nets, he's amazing to watch in person. Went for 34 and 8 in that game, his handles live are :whew:

Every time he gets the ball you just waitin for one of those :whoo: moves

Got a Cavs game again this season, I'm keepin that one just to go watch Kyrie

Edit: 8:43-9:05 in that vid is from the game I was at. That pass to Varejao :ohlawd:

That was actually a great game on both sides. I remember watching that at home:salute:

Anderson Varejao had 35 points and 18 rebounds, Deron Williams with 26 and 10, Joe Johnson with 25, 6, and 5, and Brook Lopez with 23 points and 4 blocks:ohlawd:

I was just pointing out the difference. I think Kyrie can ball, I'm just not sure he's top 5 quite yet. Tony Parker is always left out of the convo, Deron Williams is still in the convo although he's not top 5 for me, Westbrook for sure. Rose if he can come anywhere close to his true form is there. Paul is top 2, Curry is on the same level as Irving imo. Of course I put Rondo top 5. I think Kyrie is on the outside looking in.

Tony Parker disappears too much to me to REALLY be a top 5 PG imo

He left the Spurs for dead in the NBA Finals:snoop:

Name 10 PGs better than Kyrie Irving:ufdup:

As fun as Kyrie and Wall are to watch they have no impact on wins and loses. Wall just had a one month hot streak at the end of the season when half the teams gave up already and Kyrie is to fancy. I would rather take Lillard, Lawson, Rubio and a healthy Dwill over both of them.

CP3
Drose
Parker
Sabo
Curry
Rondo
Lillard
Lawson
Dwill
Rubio

Was Stephen Curry not a PG from 2010-2012?
Was Rajon Rondo not a PG in 2008?
Was Tony Parker not a PG from 2002-2008?
Was Chauncey Billups not a PG his whole career until 2008?
:rudy:

You know what all of them have in common. Nobody was saying they were elite point guards until they actually accomplished shytt. So until Kyrie can lead the Cavs out of the Lottery he will just be another talented young PG but not a top 5 PG.

Lillard had a better Rookie year than Irving and he plays the game the right way. Lawson has always been a winner and he did his thing in the offs this year. Rubio is probably the best passer in the league and was slowed down by his ACL injury last year.

Lilliard did not have a better Rookie season, 19 & 6 on 43% shooting is in no way better than 18 and 5 on 47% shooting.... see the percentage difference. Kyrie was more efficient as a rookie. Lawson has had a better team his whole career, he's not even in the same conversation as Kyrie in terms of talent. As for Rubio, all he does is pass well, nothing else.

No.....the thing me and @AlldayNE were discussing was that because Kyrie Irving hasnt averaged 6 apg yet, he isnt a PG.

And, going by your logic, LeBron James couldnt have been an elite player after his 2nd season in the NBA either because the Cavs were still in the lottery (even though he averaged 27.2 ppg, 7.4 rebs, 7.2 assts, and 2.2 stls on 47% FG in his 2nd season)

Lillard ALSO played with LaMarcus Aldridge, Nicholas Batum, Wesley Matthews and JJ Hickson surrounding him compared to Kyrie playing with Antawn Jamison, Tristan Thompson, Alonzo Gee, and Anthony Parker surrounding him his rookie year

Cavs went from 17 wins to 35 wins to 42 wins in James first two seasons so saying Lebron didn't have a effect on the Cavs record is a bad argument breh. The Cavs went from 19 wins to 21 wins to 24 wins in Kyrie's two season in Cleveland.
