At the top.
So what if he's not a pass first point guard? He's a capable passer when need be but look at who he has to pass to. Thompson? Varejao? :heh:
He doesn't need to switch to two guard, he's fine right where he is.

Who does Charlotte have for offense?

Has that stopped Kemba? :steviej:

kemba drops 6.1 dimes with much better offensive options. Kyrie drops 5.6 with GARBAGE. so, basically, they both at 6 dimes a game.

if you had a point, you lost it.

kyrie irving can shoot a basketball better than 99.9% of NBA players. Just because you're used to seeing streak-shooting point guards like Kemba, that don't make kyrie any less of a point guard. he just happens to have a J.

It's cool tho...you not the first nygga who's resorted to criticizing his "playmaking" and offering it as proof he's not a PG. it's just the only thing dudes got left. i mean, all the claims that he was too slow and not athletic enough done went to shyt, so you gotta say something.

6 assists is bad tho. i guess knight, jennings, conley, kemba, lin, teague, hill, collison, lillard, hinrich...all them dudes ain't playmakers. :aicmon:

Because Charlotte' such an offensive juggernaut right?

It's not even just the 6 assists a game. It's the fact that Kemba Walker can manage an A:TO of 2.78:1.

Kyrie averages a 1.4:1. That's god awful for a PG. Any PG. Russell Westbrook was just as bad of a floor general last season and everyone questioned whether he should even play the position. Even Stephen Curry's doing a better job and I don't even think he's a PG.

All you just said is that Kyrie is so good at shooting, he should be a shooting guard. Him shooting lights out has nothing to do with how sloppy his floor general work is (and yes, he's sloppy. No way around it. Your cape cannot hide those numbers. It's not even the assists. If you're averaging 5 assists, that happens. You just better not be averaging any more than 2.5 turnovers a game, and that's just so you can be adequate. The shyt Kyrie's doing right is pretty acceptable... as a shooting guard, not as a 1.

If Kyrie wasn't a Blue Devil, would you even be in here trying to debate this?

if Kyrie wasn't a Blue Devil, you'd have been shut the hell up about a 20 year-old PG putting up 24, 6 and 4.

but, you still lookin for chinks in the armor (no lin-o).

Why?

Considering that I've been having this exact same debate already regarding other players, it wouldn't matter what the hell school he went to. But keep thinking this is all about a Duke witch hunt. Grow up.

Some of them actually improved on that number and got better at being floor generals.

The ones that didn't are either

a) not in the league anymore

or

b) at SG.

maybe you should just admit that you're only in here because your beef is that Kyrie just so happens to be bringing up the rear in a category that an elite PG would never be on as opposed to the actual "crusade" I'm not even saying he can't improve, but that shyt needs major major work.

i'm here because dudes need something to hold onto with regard to kyrie irving, because he's exponentially better than a lot of YOU thought he'd be.

i'm out.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
He's played a combined 75 games total in the NBA and NCAA....him averaging 4 turnovers a game is not alarming. I think those will improve over time with maturity and improved talent around him.

47% from the field. 43% from 3. 83% from the line.

The Cavs are Kyrie or bust on the offensive end. I can live with the selfishness for now.
