Clippers know how to make moves - and can really make this happen. They'll do sumn like tryin flip Morris and Kennard into draft picks, send Norm, the young prospect BJ Boston, plus their 2027 pick. Sumn like that

Lakers make no sense in the sign and trade sense. They don't have the assets.

It's still an intriguing scenario tho, and I feel puts to bed that MLE rumor that was floating around

He would have to opt in then get a new deal next season.

Either way it looks like he's gone from Brooklyn.

Its over for the Clippers

Why are you falling for the same Ponzi Schemes?

The Clippers with Kawhi and adding Kyrie is another Ponzi scheme :what:

Jesus man you supposed to know better then this
The west stinks aside from GS. Only thing holding them back are injuries.

What team is giving up a good to decent draft pick for Morris and Kennard’s contracts?

If Kyrie really wants that Laker move he’d opt in tho. Because he’d lose 35 mil otherwise. That’s just too much money for an unpredictable injury prone guy like Kyrie to lose…and he knows that.

I mentioned that earlier, that 250/30+ per year is way too much money to turn down, and I know I wouldn't turn down generational wealth like that.

However, Kyrie turned down a bag this year to stand on his no-vaxx principle, so it's not exactly unheard of for him.

Also, opting out when he knows the Lakers have interest in him means the Lakers can offer him 30 million or more a year if they're able to move Westbrook, which they would be able to under the scenario I mentioned earlier (Westbrook and the pick to Charlotte). This means the Lakers have to most likely part with that 2027 pick, which I would do if I'm Pelinka because this would immediately make the Lakers a title contender for the next few years, and that pick is currently for a child that won't materialize for 5 years from now.

It's a tight window, but there is a window.
