they want to shut down everyone who dares say something they think isnt fine
I mean to be fair you can't do this shyt in any walk of life. If I take a book in to work tomorrow that denies the holocaust my ass is getting fired. That's gonna happen to like 99.99% of anyone in the world. If I post that book on my social media and any of my coworkers see it, I'm fukking gone.

It's 2022. You can't promote a book to 17+ million people that says Jews purposely lie about how many of their people were murdered in the Holocaust in order to maintain control over all of the most powerful institutions on earth. This is common sense stuff. Have some of ya'll looked at what's in this book?

Literally everyone on The Coli with a job would get suspended or fired right away if they were proudly encouraging their coworkers to read that book.

It's literally a crime in in many countries to engage in holocaust denial. You can pay fines or even go to prison. (Edit: at least 18 countries worldwide). Kyrie at least lives in a country where it's not illegal to do what he did. The government can't infringe in his free speech, but private companies can do whatever they like.

Uncertain grounds
The apology at this point is useless

He was ardent enough to convince people who are sympathetic to the talking points that were deemed offensive that the apology is worthless.

His supporters in these will just interpret it as Kyrie being forced to protect his money and not as an invalidation of the talking points.

The damage has been done and we will see in time exactly what the damage turns out to be

In the eyes of the media kyries rep been down and he’ll never redeem himself. Luckily, unlike Kanye, public perception doesn’t matter. If Kyrie goes out there and averages 30/5/5 on 50/40/90 and helps the nets win a ring then he’s fine.

I'm really trying to understand the point of Jew baiting in the first place. What is the goal here? To be able to say bad things about Jews without consequences? It reminds me of how white people get upset about not being able to say the "n word." Like why is that a hill they want to die on so badly?
Its history. According to the bible, Jews killed Jesus, and the world has hated them since in bizarre ways. Anti-Jewish people want to shyt on Jews and possibly proceed with some Nazi shyt without consequences.

Yep. Also I wouldn't be surprised if this is just the straw that broke the camel's back. The Nets been frustrated with Kyrie for a long time with some of his off the court behavior. They definitely think he's a headache.

Big facts. Many anti Jewish conspiracy theories trace back to the Bible saying that Jews murdered Jesus.

For the love of God.

Let this be an example for young people to know how to take Black history seriously.

We TOLD YALL THIS when this man carelessly disregarded his OWN history in saying the COVID mandates were among the worst atrocities known to man. How disconnected must ine be from your own history to comfortably utter such nonsense? im not a bit surprised him scrutinizing things is far from being in his wheelhouse. All of this is just a passing fancy for him with no investigation.

Discussing the Semetic strains that exist in African Americans….shyt…West Africans is fascinating and DOESNT REQUIRE the mention WWII and other conspiracy theories.

Some things are rooted in custom and rituals that predates all that bat shyt nonsense.

Great points. Also, just to add. People act like holocaust denial isn't that big a deal (or downplaying how many people were murdered) but it's the same sort of conspiracy theories and bullshyt narratives that Adolph Hitler promoted in the first place that almost got the Jews eradicated. "They control everything. They're the cause of our problems. They're infringing on your freedoms. Etc." They became a targeted group of people in Europe for those exact reasons.

It's crazy to me that people don't see this especially in this day and age. America is on the brink of falling into outright Facism and Authoritarianism. The far right is already targeting minority communities, "othering" them, and blaming them for the ills of modern society. Better believe these groups are on the chopping block if our nation moves farther to the right. The far right in 2022 basically hates everyone that aren't white, Christian men. They tolerate white women but they don't really like them either.

People don't get eradicated over night. The path towards genocide is a slow and gradual process, and people can laugh and shrug it off like it's not possible here. But people didn't think it was possible in Germany leading up to WWII either.

And I'm not saying I think there's going to be a genocide in America, but we're in dangerous territory, and people shouldn't be falling for the bullshyt that's peddled by neo-nazis, white supremacists, facists, and alt-right trolls. Folks like Kyrie and Kanye are allowing themselves to become mouth pieces for the far-right.

Edit:
And no, Kyrie didn't "say anything hateful" about Jewish folks, but he promoted a book to millions of his followers that promotes holocaust denial, among other dangerous falsehoods.

Edit 2: BTW if you fall into conspiracy theories, they all end in holocaust denial and JQ bullshyt. A ton of flat earth stuff leads to JQ stuff so I'm not surprised Kyrie ended up here.

I just read this post with a :what:look on my face thinking how it might be the most fear mongering/paranoia filled paragraph I’ve read in along time

America is a really scary place right? That’s what the news wants you to think. :snoop:

If anyone is THAT scared for the future of USA and really think whats posted above is what’s to come any time soon then you should probably just move abroad :manny:

Hopefully we can get back to talking basketball in these threads now that Kyrie apologized.

Yea, he’ll get his job back, but I bet he’ll still be hated by most Jews and probably continue to be blackballed for the rest of his NBA career just like how he DIDNT make the all time 75 list because of his stance on Covid.

Outside of the hilarity of the first sentence (his “research” of YHWH consisted of Google searching his name and stumbling upon random low budget Hebrew Israelite quackery on Amazon he didn’t even bother to watch before blasting out to millions)…this is a pretty sensible, reasonable response…he admits to getting in his feels and being performatively combative cause of the backlash, which shows some self awareness…he’s not crazy…or finally got someone who’s not crazy to respond for him…this should’ve been the first reply

"This enforced Vaccine/Pandemic is one the biggest violations of HUMAN RIGHTS in history."

Until Kyrie walks back dumbass shyt like this - it's fukk him now and forever.

AA were dying at a higher-rate than almost every single demographic around the world throughout the pandemic, and Kyrie had the unmitigated gall to choose to use his voice to falsely claim and hyperbolize the effects of a mandate (disrespecting the effects of actual humans rights violations) that was actually stopping more [vulnerable] Black folks from dying.

And if you agree with him, than fukk you too.
