slightly OT but I can say for those who grew up in brooklyn in the late 80s/early 90s (crown heights in particular), there has always been A LOT of tension between black ppl and a segment of jews (obviously these jews in NYC as we know them are not reflective of all jewish ppl across the world)…you can google the name gavin cato and the riots it led to…but these underlying feelings were there well before those riots and probably still exist…this post is not to “justify” any hatred but to explain where some of the conflict/tension comes from for some

You just don't get it, Kyrie's apology was never going to be enough. They want to make a serious example out of him, castrate him publicly, basically beg for forgiveness on his knees, and Black Men like yourself are applauding and basically co-signing that you do not have any respect for yourself and your people.

Every single Black person in the media who has given an opinion on this situation is AFRAID to speak out against the jewish community, and I wonder why.

No matter what you do, say, how you carry yourself, religious path, you are still Black, and that's all that matters to our enemies.

No they gave him a whole weak to apologize and he wouldn’t even return the texts from the team owner.

They paid money on his behalf and even paid fines so he wouldn’t have to talk to the media until he could get his words straight.

Then they set up a media session for him to apologize and he still didn’t do the shyt.

If they just wanted to tear him down they would have done it from the jump.

Kyrie got more leniency than any of us would have been afforded had a social media post brung all this negative attention to our perspective employers.

Other people were kicked out of the league for less.

Understanding why he’s suspended and under fire ≠ celebrating it


The only people with a celebratory stance are the people who like the things he’s standing on, everyone else are just either upset with what he said, disappointed in the entire situation or just completely understands why everything played out the way it did
