So one wants to say Bron saved Kyrie from a career of irrelevance and actually helped turn him into a winner. Bron needed Kyrie for sure but what great player didn't need a sidekick. Kyrie just happens to be one capable of going off for 50 any given night.

Kyrie kept Golden State from gaining momentum and going on major runs by his constant offense. LeBron showed up in bursts. Of course stats won't show you that. You have to watch the game. Every time Klay would shoot a three, and Steph would nail another one, Golden State would be getting ready to pull off in hyperspeed and Kyrie would drop one right on Steph's grill, stopping GS's run. To put it simply for casuals, LeBron got most of his points during Cleveland's big runs. When Cleveland's offense stalled, it was Kyrie keeping them in and keeping them from getting raped. That's why people are saying what they're saying.

Kyrie was amazing and my favorite player in the series but I think Lebron was the overall leader of the series. Irving did do some leading. i'm not trying to take anything away from Irving. Lebron could not have done it without Irving and Irving couldn't have done it without Lebron. This is a team effort.

Paxson averaged barely three points a game in 92-93 and Kerr barely eight in 96-97 compared to Kyrie who average 25 ppg this postseason. It's laughable.

Go back and look at the game winning shots Kerr and Paxson made Micky J had at least seven people on him the starting 5 and the mascot and at least one coach out in the paint.

Now compare that to Kyrie's game winning shot Lebron is hanging out on the perimeter like he's about to go into hibernation, it's just Kyrie and the good ol' round ball till jesus comes home. Meanwhile Green is the only man assigned to Lebron, there's no way any coach leaves one man assigned to Micky J in that situation, way too lethal way too smooth.

All this blah blah blah LeKing is on pace to do this and do that to Jordan but Micky J had 7, 45+ games by his fifth postseason and 23 for his postseason career, and what about Lebron over there who's played in more postseason games than Micky Mick himself.

Let's not forget Jordan was out 93-94 that very well could have been seven rings and seven mvps, us Micky fans don't like to speculate when it comes to His Airness but
if he stays 98-99 we have the bulls doing a four-peat with the mvp being bestowed upon His Airness.

I respect the King as a basketball player he's an all time great sure but the greatest ever right now remains to be Micky Mickington of the Chicago Bulls.

Weirdos in cyberspace these days :sadcam:

the ether
Bron went 1-7fg in the 4th
Kyrie took over
Stat padder

Not he didn't :mjlol:.

Lebron was 3-8 in the fourth for 11 points and had one of the biggest defensive plays in NBA history.

Kyrie was 2-5 in the fourth for 5 points.

Kyrie only had 5 points and 0 assists in the last 15 minutes of the game. Lebron had 13 and 2.

In the last 6 minutes of the game, Lebron outscored ALL OTHER PLAYERS ON BOTH TEAMS COMBINED, 9 to 7.

Remind me who took over again? :troll:

a month ago it was "The Cavs won't win with Kyrie being the point guard", now it's "Lebron only won because of Kyrie"

Kyrie would be equivalent to Shaq and Kobe not Horry or Kerr or Paxson.
Even if you want to go with that narrative Shaq and Pippen are better number two options than Kyrie. Kyrie played big and hit the biggest shot of the series, but Lebron outplayed him in every game of the series.
