Make this the official Kyrie’s Hero Ball Kobricks idolization thread and post his statlines

If he can’t get a top 3 seed with this team I don’t want to hear no more Bron ball slender because Bron would take this current Celtics team to the NBA finals right now
We sure do have some dumbass people on this board.

Wall's first game vs Kyrie's first two games, should put to rest who's currently the best PG in the east.:pachaha:

Wall out here taking games over and showing that alpha mentality the whole game while Kyrie out here playing 2nd fiddle to Jaylen Brown and half the time not even bringing the ball up the court.:patrice:

Wall wouldn't let no damn Terry Rozier and Marcus Smart take the ball out his hand while he's on the court.:mjlol:

What are you talking about g, IT last year had one of the highest usage rates in the NBA (34%) which is higher than what both Lebron and Kyrie had in Cleveland last year.

Kyrie in his first game as a Celtic last night only had a 22% usage rate and in this game tonight he had the ball in his hands an even less frequency.

Brad Stevens does not have a system where multiple ball-handlers initiate offensive sets at a high rate. Bottomline if you're an elite ball-dominant guard Brad Stevens will allow you freedom to take the game over and have the rock in your hand. So Kyrie not dominating and allowing Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier to overstep their sidekick roles says more about him than then Celtics offensive system and I'm a Kyrie fan.:yeshrug:

The season is still early and I think he'll get his killer instinct back as he gels more with his new teammates and new system. But these past few games Kyrie been looking kinda beta-ish out here my guy and I want to see him rise back up to Killa Ky levels. Because the nikka basically said Bron was stunting his growth, so he better prove it on the court and become the man that he wanted to be.:ufdup:

You're using "usage rate" in the wrong manner. Usage rate isn't how much/long you handle the ball - it's simply how many shots you take v. turnovers (basically the possessions that end with a player). Time of possession is what you're referring to. IT was the primary ball-handler for the Celtics last season and he only controlled the ball for 6.7 minutes per game, whereas Kyrie had to split his ball-handling duties with LeBron and still had a 6.4 TOP. So basically even though IT2 had virtually the monopoly of the possessions, he still handled the ball for just as long as somebody who split the possessions with another player, which therefore means there were other players besides IT2 last season who initiated the offense.

Plus you also have to take into account that with Hayward going down yesterday, it now makes sense for Smart to handle the ball more, because Kyrie is the better off-ball player. It doesn't make much sense to have Kyrie handling the ball all the time and Smart spotting up, because he can't catch-and-shoot for shyt.

Context.

@DarrynCobretti

With Hayward going down, the Celtics have to switch up their whole shyt. You aren't going to see the traditional positional play from them, because they now have to work out how to best utilize the inexperience and weaker weapons they do have. That means Smart will probably get more burn because their lack of playmaking depth, and of course experience. Especially with Morris out as well.

Can we stop thinking every Kyrie bashing thread is about Lebron. Listen, Celts got dealt a bad blow with that Hayward injury but it's time to move on. From what I have seen, Kyrie is not being maximized in Boston. He is what he is. He went to Boston to get away from Bron and so called maximize his talents and I haven't seen it

Yes I know it's only 2 games
