Can't wait they thry primary against this stupid ass bytch, at least Joe Manchin has a legitimate case for what he does in rural ass WV
I was just thinking this makes it difficult for anyone to primary her.
Since she's an independent now, she doesn't have to go through a primary. She's no longer a Dem.

AZ Dems can now have an inexpensive primary. Congressman Gallego who reps Phoenix is probably running.

Sinema pulling this stunt shows how weak she is.

Problem with this is you risk splitting the vote

It's still fukk Sinema, but I don't think this matters once you actually read past the headlines. :yeshrug:

All the Senate is realistically getting done this congress is confirming judges and maybe some watered-down bipartisan legislation. The latter they don't need her vote on (but probably have anyway), and for the former Sinema has voted for nearly every Biden-appointed judge, if not all of them.
I hope you're right :whew:

So what happens with the committees? When it was 50/50, they had to come to a power sharing agreement but a 51-49 majority meant Dems could have a majority on committees.

I bet if Warnock would've lost the run off she wouldn't have done this

I hate this stupid bytch :beli:

my take as well. she can no longer hold dems hostage for her own personal interest now that they don't need her vote.

the risk with her running as independent is that she siphons off enough votes to risk repubs winning the seat. seems to be her plan to cause as much chaos as she can on the way out (and line her pockets with corp donor money). can't stand her attn whoring azz. good riddance.

Going to operate as 51-49. She's keeping her committee assignments through the Dem majority.

She's sort of caucusing with the Dems. But she doesn't regularly attend Dem caucus meetings.

Bernie Sanders and Angus King are the other two independents who caucus with the Dems.

An ideal scenario would be: Now that Katie Hobbs is Governor of AZ, if I was Biden, I'd have appointed her to some admin role or ambassadorship and get Hobbs to appoint her replacement who can run in 2024 with incumbency built in.

My reply in the Biden thread

Sinema is an atrocious human being. Case study of power being seductive. Literally was a green party member, runs as a Dem, then gets in power becomes totally egotistical despite being a first time senator and then to be independent for the sake of it. You should never have to "court the vote " of a newbie. At least Manchin for all of his a$$hole tendencies has equity to do so.

Didn't even lift a finger to help Mark Kelly or Hobbs either.

For the sole purpose of making money and getting a cushy TV gig or speaking fees after 2024.

Walks around with jeans and headphones and shyt like this is Saved By The Bell.

Just an all around awful awful person.
