I understand some crimes. But they included battery. And the way folks shoplift with reckless abandon as Is, this just adds fuel to the fire of burgeoning criminal enterprises.
Petty theft is different than say grand larceny

Again, those people don’t necessarily show up to their court date, and they don’t all serve time. There has to be a consequence.

There are all kinds of programs to help the poor. You can get free training on unemployment. Some people just put not effort into improving their lives. The government is not going to knock on your door, and help you. And for those of us who work, and pay taxes, it’s a slap in the face that those who don’t expect things handed to them.

you make a lot of claims, please provide sources for this particular one.

so it could also be interpreted as "deep" places

when the elders of moab approached balaam they came with "diviners fees" in hand as well

a diviner by definition is someone looking deep into something to read it. IE people reading the patterns in weird things (see chinese oracle bones)

for further context:

Acts 19:8-10

here divers is clearly a type of person. not a weight or measure. Its definitely in reference to divinatory priests. Thats why there are "divers laws":

Yeah in the context of Acts, it's definitely being used as a pronoun. Im gonna research this some more

I don’t need a source. If they were amoral enough to do the crime in the first place, they aren’t going to go to court. People will collect warrants like it’s nothing. Stop coddling criminals. Being poor is not an excuse to commit crime. PERIOD.

I really believe this is a long term plan for something. :manny: Maybe like letting things get bad enough where people will overall support a type of surveillance they don't support right now. Facial recognition software and other stuff is already out there. They know for most Americans it won't fly putting it on the street yet.

so now you don't need a source for your claim?

something to consider is that parts of the bible were actually put together WITH divination

so the source that they were divining is important to understand why they believe some things

IE why would someone divinate using one material over another? :jbhmm: what looks better in the light: wine or bread?

in the context of 1000s of years of mankind dwelling with scriptures it might give insight as to why people came together over the Abrahamic faiths (remember Melchisedec blessed "Abram of the Most High God Possessor of Heaven and Earth" which he then gave bread and wine to him)

and as I've alluded to before that the "Pharaoh who knows Jacob and Joseph" has a butler/baker who were in the "pit" with Joseph. The baker's dream was that three baskets would be on his head that people would eat from... (from Genesis 41). I interpret "birds" as Tzipporahs or Midianite daughters.
16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:

17 And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.
and one who he lets live (the butler)
9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;

10 And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:

11 And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.

from the outside looking in...the butler isnt attached to the vine. But is responsible for turning the grapes into the wine...whereas the baker simply had baskets of bread on his head... :lupe: @010101 maybe had he said to Joseph: "Behold a field of wheat was before me, and I turned the wheat into bread and set them in three baskets and put them before Pharaoh" he would have not been hanged? :jbhmm:

most people shoplift because they’re suffering from economic deprivation. giving them bail amounts to a tax on the poor.
True, bit I'm talking about these folks who are running in with Garbage bags and the mobs of folks running in boosting armful. E commerce platforms have turned boosting I to big business. It's just one of those gray areas where discernment will be absent. Those stealing for comfort survival are punished and the knuckleheads have no real deterrent is how these laws usually work.
