The album was recorded in secret so I highly doubt it's some throw together unfinished tracks. "Unknown to the public, before Phife’s death from kidney failure, he, Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and Jarobi had recorded a sixth album as A Tribe Called Quest." This was before Phife's passing.
