Came in here thinking this was about grown chocolate labs.
I might fukk with lab grown cocoa. Better than having children pick the beans and be enslaved.

This is heinous, rather than just paying farmers a little more.
I want to find chocolate that doesn't use things like palm fat that companies like Cadbury's (Kraft/Mondelez) have been adulterating their products with - but something I can buy in bulk because I eat a lot of chocolate (you are what you eat lol

atm KitKat is my 'basic' bar but I know Nestlé is no better given their numerous scandals.
I spent a silly amount at Hotel Chocolat last month
I found out today about lovecocoa, quite a bit more expensive per kg than Lindt 100g bars so not a good choice for bulk buying. Maybe I should just try Tony's.
It would also be nice to detach myself from Mondelez completely but I have not found (or even really looked for) a replacement for my occasional breakfast biscuits yet. These MNCs have so many faces...

also the startup that is referred to in the video which secured funding is Celleste Bio, from what I can see they are working on making cell-cultured cocoa butter which "could replace the most expensive ingredient in the chocolate-making process as companies navigate long-term supply challenges"
