INVADING SOHH CHAMPION
Hey Joe,...
The lack of top quality emcees in the past decade really makes rap very very hard to listen to moving forward.
Or even select rap as the genre selected as a consistent long player option choice.
As far as material made that is high quality to listen to consistently in the past decade.
Plus over time,
The lack of top apex skilled emcees and their discographies ruins low quality rap as a consistent alternative to high quality rap to satiate a rap listener.
while waiting in anticipation for newer higher skilled apex emcees' submission.
as the principal low skill model and lack of quality ruins this ability for gateway listeners to re-invest in rap who are not culturally apart of hip hop.
Anyway, in short these wack ass emcees make it hard to get rap to be a considered a long player listening option.
Especially, since trap and triple six meets DJ jneek style versions of Chicago smoke and ride music has become the standard staple frame work and principle to pop or domesticated trip hop in auto tune.
Which means the other genres have bitten so much good from rap to bolster their past inferiority to rap so ically.
That so much borrowing from rap with no apex high skill being used as the model for the pop submission style rap.
Has blanketed all of rap in any genre and made it universal to be a wack ass emcee and being a wack emcee will destroy any gateway listeners ability to resonate and thus eliminate rap's ability to draw.
While other genres that borrowed will benefit from rap being made into a high quality vocal into a low quality vocal based genre at its foundation.
My personal commentary on this is this needs to amalgamated to allow rap to re-bolster its draw and also cultural connotation as far as building skills.
As skill building, is what hip hop is at its core, socially and in nature as cultural art form.
