well shaun alexander got the mvp the year before too...
anything is possible, but yea with the league going full retard on passing...and keeping RBs fresh with two-RB backfields...its a long shot for any RBs.

for a RB to get MVP consideration nowadays, he needs to have lat least 2500 total yards, his team be #1/#2 seed in the conference and the said RB to carry most of the offense with an average at best QB
