I have a feeling this could be the opening match like Money in the Bank at WM 23. DB could go from Main Eventing WM one year then curtain jerking the next.

Curtain jerking is the dumbest statement in 2014, if you're first on the show that's much better than being some meaningless mid-card.

1st match of WM usually gets a good amount of time and focus and gets the crowd going.

Daniel Bryan was curtain jerking last year too, the year before that The Shield/Orton/Sheamus/Show were curtain jerking.

Year before that, Daniel Bryan was curtain jerking w/ Sheam again.

Look at the end of the day, they did push Bryan.

He was the main focus of Wrestlemania 30, with 2 matches to crown him beating 3 HOF'ers.

Look, it didn't work out well due to injuries, but he did get the biggest push you could get in this business.

The E is building a whole new generation of stars, it's Roman's turn, they made Bryan last year. Hopefully Roman can run with the ball, I think he's got a lot more potential than some of the meatheads like Batista that they pushed previously

Only reason I have hope for Dean is because vince cosigned him . When I look around I see him winning the mitb filling the briefcase with coke and going crazy. He's the only guy besides maybe bray I can see winning it. I remember how he looked when cena squashed the whole wyatts

Didn't fail as champ. He didn't get an actual shot as the champ. Dude got hurt but before that he was booked to run away from his opponent which is exactly the opposite of his character and was also booked with his heatless wife. This is a dude that while he was injured chased down and then put down a guy that broke into his house. Did you see that on TV? Did they push that? You think if Cena would have done something like that it wouldn't have been all over Raw and Smackdown every five minutes? It's backwards thinking...

I'm sorry but your top star argument doesn't fly. Bryan doesn't need to be the "top star" but he certainly has the ability to be in that spot. The great thing about Bryan is that if you put him in that spot he'll MAKE other people look like stars and then you don't need just ONE GUY. Bryan made Roman legit. Bryan made Bray legit (before Cena cuts his legs off). Bryan is exactly the guy you want in that spot. He makes the roster look strong without losing anything.

I don't think they would. I think they'd cheer the fukk out of it which would make "the brass" have to actually start paying attention to him.

I personally think they're doing this on purpose to see if he can bring the IC belt back to respectability, if he doesn't they can say "we gave him a chance...a true superstar could change a division and he failed. He's a B+ player". If he succeeds they say "we always believed in him, that's why we used him to build back up the mid card and get wrestlers over...now is his time".
