I was hanging out with a woman friend the other day and she has two young daughters. One of the daughters is four, the other is three, and she was telling me that the four-year old asks her for her make-up.
I go "Well, do you let her use it?"
She says, "No. She's way too young. It's weird seeing little girls out here with all that make-up."
"Well, when IS it the right time and how do you explain that it's time to start?"
She says that her mom started off by letting her use colored lip tint around 12 or so. She doesn't really do much more than mascara and lipstick/gloss, but she's very attractive either way. She says that it would be up to the girls, but she wouldn't let them dabble in any make-up before 9th grade.
So, my question is...when did YOU start wearing make-up?
What made you want to start wearing it? Why do you wear it now?
Do you wear as much now as you did when you started (more or less)?
If you had a daughter, when would you let her start wearing it? Would you ask if she wanted to or would you wait until she asked you?

and I confiscated her little kit.

and even now I only wear it when I'm going out, I'm makeup free most of the time. shyt is too time consuming.
I became a tomboy because of them. I wear it on occasion, you gotta be really precise with it, which takes a lot of time unless you're used to doing it. It's fun. I like it, I have a few trunks, I like all of the pretty colors and shyt but I don't use it everyday.
