If we want to be completely honest, I knew before I even went on that trip that I would be evaluating him as a potential mate (I found out two months before the trip that he would be there as well). That gave me two months to evaluate his online presence before reevaluating him in person...casually/passingly discussing him with mutual friends to get some details.
He never had a chance and he didn't even know it
(although he does always joke/say that I came on to him).
