Notice, I've never stated that BW prefer light, just that dark isn't preferred. It's a mixed bag but colorism affects each individual differently, we are a diverse people.

My whole point is nothing is really "preferred" in a hard sense. If somebody finds you attractive they find you attractive. I don't think most black people are that stuck on it.

We also need to define what group of women (or men for that tangent somebody went on about WM/BW) we are discussing. The answers are going to totally change if we are specifically talking about black women vs other races. My point is i don't think it matters when it comes to black relations.

I'd agree that other races would usually prefer a lighter black male all things being equal, unless they have a fetish. The problem with that though is individual dynamics come into play where if they would date (and I really mean have sex with, since most people marry their own and wouldn't consider marrying out) a black dude, then its really going to boil down to attractiveness of the person regardless of complexion.
