So about a month or so ago, this chick I know hits me up to ask me what I was doing and we ended up hanging out and grabbing some grub. The entire time, I'm being casual and made it a point to keep everything chill & platonic b/c I'm not really interested in the girl like that.
She asks me what I'm doing later that night and at the time, my truck was in the shop so I said that if she wanted to hang later, she could be my designated drunk driver (She drives there, I buy the drinks, I drive back since I barely drink) to a bar that I hit from time to time w/ my friends.
She'd never been there so she's down. We end up going, people-watching, and I get her a few drinks to thank her for driving. At no point do we dance with one another and I give her NO signals. At one point, the she was asking which celebrity chicks I'd hit.
I drive back and sit her in the common area. I want omelettes so I offer her one. We're just chilling and she's just being goofy and annoying. She's about 21 and I'm 26 so I just chalked it up to her being young but she calls her homegirl while I'm cooking and when I come down, she's like "My friend says I have to ask you: do you consider me a FRIEND?"
Me: "Well, yeah."
Her: "Okay."
Me: "Why do you ask?"
Her: "My friend said that I had to make sure."
Me: "Whatever, kid. Drink this water, eat, and sober up. There are TWO beds in the empty room over there."
I go up to wash the cleaning stuff real quick, come back down, and this broad's in MY bed...which is not the room I pointed out to her.
So I chill out in the common area for a sec and then eventually go to my room. Nowhere else to sit but my bed so I'm just sitting up next to this chick and she's just trying her hardest to get close to me and get something to happen. I'm just stiff-arming her the whole time, trying to keep it cordial & avoid serious drama.
She finally goes, "Can't friends have sex?" and I'm like, "No, because that's not my intention and it'd fukk up the whole friendship dynamic."
She's asking me if I don't think she's cute enough or why I won't do it. I tell her it's b/c we're just friends and she's just not trying to hear it. She gets REALLY moody and throws a silent mini-fit like a toddler...then goes to sleep. Mad as hell. Wakes up in the morning and doesn't even say a word when I walk her to the door.
So yesterday, she texts me:
Her: I have a question that requires your full honesty.
Me: Shoot:
Her: Did you not want to fukk me because you think I'm not attractive enough for you? Is that why you kinda friend zoned me?
Me: Nope. Seriously hope you're not questioning yourself about that. Why do you ask?
Her: I just wasn't buying the whole "I want you to be my friend" spiel. Guys don't want girls as friend, at least not ones they think are pretty.
:notsure: Seems like she just completely lost self-esteem b/c I didn't want to treat her like a jump-off. Mind you, I've only hung out with her less times I can count on one hand and we don't even keep in contact like that.
What goes through a chick's mind when a dude that SHE wants to fukk just genuinely doesn't have any ulterior motives outside of hanging out as friends?
