Stumbled upon this Dear Prudence question on Slate.com. Personally, I think the boyfriend should get thrown in the bushes, but Emily Yoffe (Prudence) seems to disagree.

Ladies what would you do if you were in this situation? Fellas what would you have done? Whether or not the girl is a PAWG doesn't matter either. Don't be koons :beli:

Question:

Dear Prudence,

My boyfriend and I have been dating for six months but have known each other for more than two years. I am black and he is white. This has never been a problem and our parents, families, and friends are fully supportive of our relationship. Amazingly, we have had precious few arguments or problems. Until now. In a moment of extreme frustration, my boyfriend used the "N-word" in reference to one of my friends. We were alone so no one else heard the comment. I was stunned, shocked, and appalled. I immediately left the room because I was so disturbed. It is a word that neither I nor my family or friends use in any sort of context because I have been raised to view it as incredibly offensive. He came to me and apologized profusely and had tears in his eyes while doing so. I accepted his apology because it was completely out of character for him, but I am now questioning our relationship. What do you think?

Naw her boyfriend called one of her friends the N-word. She wants to know what she should do. Supposedly everything else has been good up to that point.

Prudence's advice is to talk it over with the boyfriend and take it from there. I think something like that is an immediate deal breaker and the boyfriend should get tossed. Just wanna hear other people's thoughts.

Edit:

She will stick around. Black women only show machismo around black men.

Ever seen a black woman disrespect a white man in public? Not often yes I know.

They only show that disrespect to black men.

:whoa: I dont know this to be fact so spare me with your emotions brehs and grehs...

But Ive read stories like this online and Ive seen things in person that made me think, do black women seem to "put up" with more from white dude than they do with brothers? :what: I mean look at this story, in an interracial relationship racial slurs should be off limits yet she is forgiving :why: I a brother calls his girl/wife a bytch he is gone or he will never hear the end of it :wow:

I know this is an isolated incident, I just want to know am I reading into it too much? :whoa:
