I'm guessing OP is an introvert. I think he is over thinking it. Being told you are too quiet is simply being told that you are too quiet for those around you. They cannot stand when someone is not talking as much as they are, and not sharing personal info as much as they like to.

I don't really think there is anything more to it. I used to get told that I was too quiet, looked stuck up, unnaproachable, etc just because I didn't feel the need to run my mouth 24/7.

My main thing is people asking me what's wrong, and when I tell them nothing, they insist on the truth. Because no one can ever just be quiet and feeling fine, right? Makes me want to say "okay, truth is there is nothing wrong except now you're getting disrespectful in my space and creating a problem." I'm quiet but very honest. Catches people off guard.

Yes! My mind is on another level. So many people are so superficial to me, and I can only tolerate that for so long before I become irritated because it bothers me that it seems like so few even try or care to try to think bigger. I don't mean this in a superior way, it's just not soul nourishing to me to think on such a base level all the time. Then when I do choose to share what's on my mind sometimes, I'm told that I'm being "weird," "too serious," and/or "confusing." It's exhausting, so I usually just keep to myself except those few who I know can handle it. I like being left alone and interacting with whom I choose, when I choose. Nothing is wrong and if there is an issue, I have no problem speaking up! Just let me be great!
