Still not the State's fault, and apparently the courts agreed. Her beef should be with the state grandfathering her rich friends after that one law was passed, but she was still part of the problem.

The more I read, the more I feel sorry for Travis. Those white people abused that little chimp kid.by not respecting him as a living breathing alien sapient. Tore him from his mama at three days old just because some rich white people had empty nest syndrome, and the female of the couple was post-menopausal. All his owners really wanted was a substitute son who would forever stay a child and pliable, a baby. Travis was just being himself - a young male in a position to pimp slap some subordinate females who are out of line. If he were with his own, he would have known what lines not to cross, but he'd been indulged for so long without any real guidance about social behavior. Poor Travis.
