What content do you think is gonna get greenlit when all the decision makers are a small circle of old, out of touch and conservative white men?

If diverse content doesn’t have mass appeal or is cheap to produce, it will be dead in the water and not given a chance to catch on.

If Zaslav and Co. we’re around when Insecure was pitched, it would have never seen the light of day.

It all comes down to this.
At the end of the day, television/movies is a business. Still dominated by old white men and white women.
If they don't see a return on their investment, or any numbers that suggest that a project is worth continuing, they will not continue it.
And they they see no point in having a diverse workplace if the incentive isn't there financially.

HBO and HBOMAX content are two totally different things. And everything from that trailer has nothing to do with Zaslav.

Zaslav just greenlit (or more so aggressive pushed through b/c it fits his taste) a movie that goes against everything he’s preached about avoiding. This is a precursor to what’s to come.

It all comes down to this.
At the end of the day, television/movies is a business. Still dominated by old white men and white women.

Black panther 2 isn't eve out yet and the internet is mad at it. This lowers the value, hurts pockets.

We don't watch most of it and even though we feel racism is a problem if it's not generating money it's gone.

Trump effect to a sense yes but overall alot of us don't care to tune in we know what it is.
