lol why Nas involved with flat out criminals like this? No way he aint being extorted unless he got his own muscle holdin him down

Nas and Lake was childhood friends. Lake said when he got out Nas scooped him up and tried to pull him in as part of his team but he aint really wanna put him on songs so they parted ways. From what I can gather Lake never tried to extort Nas but he did try to extort Prodigy and Alc.

He has an ill freestyle with Cormega over 'Hustlin', dude was too vivid with the street rhymes, just those details that some will never catch or appreciate, shame he couldn't get at least a little album at some point, but hard to feel bad for a goon like that. He was trying to punk out Prodigy and them on some real shyt, his boy Germ sounded even worse...He has a lot of dope shyt out there, he always murders his guest spots too...

'Blow' is another one, my favorite track from him...just raw, vicious street shyt, no innuendo or slick lines, just murder/dope rap.

nah it wasn't Germ, it was Sherm The Worm, the same one Nas shouted out on "Testify" who got 80 years.

Right, right. They really tried to play P and his friend, 'well our cars got stolen when we were at your event...so you owe us' lol...something like that, a real degenerate scheme.

yeah, Lake got out in 99, God Son came out in 2002. basically, in 3 years they did 3 tracks together. Nas wanted Lake to be in a similar role as Jungle and Wiz, but Lake wanted to be an MC in his own right.

Prodigy dissed Lake and them on "Get Back" off the "41st Side" cd.

yeah i always thought it was funny that Prodigy dissed him and Lake still put it on the album. But it was a dope song though
